On Friday, 28–29 November 2025, in the city of Jazira Botan in Northern Kurdistan, and in the presence of President Barzani, Şırnak University held the concluding ceremony of the Fourth International Symposium on Melaye Cizîrî.

This academic event brought together more than ninety scholars from across the world and continued over the course of two consecutive days.

 

Representing the University of Zakho, two esteemed lecturers—Mr. Wahid Neamat Ramadan and Mr. Ali Saeed Salim—participated in the symposium.

They jointly presented a research paper entitled “Divine Love in the Works of Melaye Cizîrî through the Ethical Literary Perspective,” in which they examined the concept of divine love within the intellectual and philosophical framework of Melaye Cizîrî from an ethical standpoint.
